As business consultants assisting companies to package and market the business or businesses--whether it be an IPO or to exit a business by the sale of companies or company--not seeing the business as a product is a serious detriment to accomplishing the goal. Problem:	An international consulting company had acquired a bio-tech manufacturer and also started-up an electronics company. Parent company management was at a loss to find synergy between the three entities. Both the electronics company and the bio-tech company were faltering due to lack of capital. The consulting company was profitable, but lacked cash.
Action:	Engaged to develop and execute a strategic plan to bring the entities closer to serving overlapping markets. Took over the electronics company as CEO and turned it around by increasing efficiency and expanding markets. Took over the bio-tech company as CEO, restructured and expanded its' product line which increased sales and gross profits. Developed an import/ export strategy involving both subsidiaries, with the parent as the international "funnel." Developed an overall business plan attracting new banks and investment firms.
Results:	Parent was taken public, which raised growth capital. Consolidated sales increased over 300% in 2.5 years. Gross profit increased from 40% to 65%. Subsidiaries pre-tax profit grew from zero to 25%.
