As business consultants assisting companies to package and market the business or businesses--whether it be an IPO or to exit a business by the sale of companies or company--not seeing the business as a product is a serious detriment to accomplishing the goal. Type of Company:    Manufacturer of accessories for computers, recorders and phonographs,
and high intensity lighting equipment
Type of Ownership: Private-to-Public Company
   
Problem: Company, which had minimal management personnel, had doubled in size after a recent acquisition. Company was neither able to assimilate the acquisition, nor ship its products on-time.
Action: Engaged to combine both the operations and the systems of the combined companies, ship the products of both companies on-time, and avert a developing cash crisis.
Within four months, negotiated with both unions for the partial closing of one plant and the orderly transfer of operations to the second plant.
Results:       While the transfer of equipment, people and inventory was proceeding, on-time shipments were dramatically improved averting a cash crisis, resulting in improved customer satisfaction and cash flow.
Enabled company to go public.
