Restructured parent, located new banks and negotiated major financing reducing interest from 3% to 1% over prime. Assisted in taking company public.

As president of Iatric-patient management system for immunological diseases, tripled sales and increased pre-tax profit from 5% to 20%. Successfully negotiated sale of Circuitech to corporate buyer for 5 times E.B.I.T. plus 10% royalties for four years.

Served subsidiaries as follows: President, Director -Applied Genetics, Inc. and Amalgamated Financial Services, Inc.; V.P., Director - Washburn, Ltd. and NPD Productos Medicos, S.A.; President - NPD Epic Systems, Inc., NPD Dental Systems, Inc., and Hydro-Med Sciences Division.

P&L responsibility and management of new ventures for this high-technology developer and manufacturer of the soft contact lens. Activities included medical technologies; dental instrumentation; agro businesses (the synchronization of the reproductive cycle of beef herds, etc.); negotiating major licensing agreements; acquiring, merging and restructuring businesses; and setting up on and off-shore integrated manufacturing plants.

Successfully developed three new product lines, including the Hydron Burn Dressing (co-invented). Negotiated multi-million dollar licensing and manufacturing agreement with Abbott Laboratories. Negotiated Japanese licensing agreement duplicating Abbotts.

Merged two acquisitions, restructured and directed their combined sales forces; increased sales by 300%. Evaluated and acquired three medical product companies with break even profits; in three years net profits were 7%.

Negotiated three way licensing agreement between G.D. Searle, National Patent and Ceva Labs for beef herd implant. Acquired patent rights to promising new Expandable Polymer Technology.

Negotiated joint venture and set up manufacturing and distribution center in Mexico City to market Caridex system to remove tooth decay without drilling; yielded profit in first six months.

President and Chairman - Acculab Supplies, Inc. Dynacon Research

Co-founded this start-up venture by securing Wall Street venture capital and bank financing. Responsible for P&L, management and start-up of this medical instrument manufacturer and clinical lab supplier of disposable parts to the automated wet chemical analyzer after-market. Achieved profitability second year, and merged into Precision Technology.

Product Development Manager - Technicon Instrument Corp.

Responsible for management of crash product development program to design/develop and set-up manufacturing of revolutionary automatic wet chemical analyzer for this medical instrument manufacturer. Completed project in six months.
Established materials management function to support Technicon's sales jump from $10 to $100 million in four years.
Responsible for design engineering and new product development of first automatic blood cell analyzer. Also tested on mini-computer, feasibility of digital circuits for firm's line of wet chemical analyzers. Spent initial year as an analog circuit design engineer.

Engineering Consultant - Perkin Elmer Corporation

Involved in the electronic and optic design of advanced recon-naissance and laser cameras at this leading optics manufacturer.

Engineering Consultant - IBM Research Center

Involved in the electronic design and assembly of a wide range of special purpose test equipment and power supplies in support of scientists performing research in the areas of cryogenic, audio and infra-red systems.
